MaxCut Software

Job Costing Software
for Cabinet Makers

Stop guessing what a job costs. MaxCut calculates material costs, labour, tax, and profit for every quote — so you know your margins before you cut a single sheet.

Guesswork pricing costs you jobs — and profits

Quoting from gut feel means you either leave money on the table or price yourself out of the job. Miss a labour charge, forget to add tax, or underestimate material costs and the margin you expected disappears. MaxCut tracks every cost component — materials, processing charges, labour, and tax — and shows you cost vs. selling price side by side, so you quote with confidence and protect your bottom line.

From Material Prices to Profitable Quotes

MaxCut builds job costs from the ground up. Enter your material and labour rates once, then let the software calculate every quote automatically. When prices change, update in one place — every job that uses those resources updates instantly.

1

Configure Material Pricing

Set up your tax rates (VAT, GST, or custom), add costs and prices for sheet materials, edging, labour and hardware — including processing charges like cutting and machining.

2

Build Jobs

When you construct cabinets, add the relevant labour activities. Include them in library items so labour carries across every reuse.

3

Review Margins & Quote

Job Costing — Answered

How do labour costs work?

You create labour resources (assembly, installation, delivery, etc.) in the Labour Resources Manager and assign rates. When building a cabinet, you add the relevant labour activities. Include labour in library items and it carries across every job that uses that cabinet.

Update the cost and pricing in one place — the Materials or Labour Resources Manager — and every job that uses that resource can be re-optimized to automatically use the updated values throughout the job.

MaxCut supports two configurable tax rates through settings. You can name each tax (VAT, GST, sales tax — whatever applies in your region), set the percentage, and even apply Tax 1 to Tax 2 for compound tax calculations. Enable or disable tax on individual materials, hardware, and labour resources. The Resources Summary and printed quotes show sub-total, tax amount, and grand total separately.
